Road to resilience Session 10: Drugs, Sex, and Euphoric Recall

The 10th session of our methamphetamine sobriety support group explores the complex interplay between drugs, sex, and euphoric recall. Titled "Drugs, Sex, and Euphoric Recall," this session delves into the intertwined dynamics that often contribute to relapse triggers and challenges in recovery. Participants will engage in candid conversations and educational activities to examine how memories of past drug use, associated with pleasure and euphoria, can be linked to risky behaviors, including engaging in high-risk sexual encounters. By exploring the psychological mechanisms of euphoric recall and its impact on decision-making, individuals will gain insight into the importance of developing healthy coping mechanisms and boundaries to navigate such triggers effectively. Through open dialogue, peer support, and practical strategies, members will be encouraged to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion in addressing the intersection of drugs, sex, and euphoric recall in their recovery journey.
