Road to resilience Session 3: Trigger → Thought → Craving → Use

  • ACCM's Admin Office 3500 Avenue Calixa-Lavallée Montréal, QC, H2L 1M3 Canada (map)

In the third session of the methamphetamine sobriety support group, the theme of "trigger, thought, craving, and use" is explored in depth. Participants delved into the complex cycle of addiction by examining the triggers that lead to thoughts of substance use, the resulting cravings, and ultimately, the decision to use methamphetamine. Through group discussions, activities, and reflection exercises, members gain insight into their individual triggers and learned coping strategies to interrupt the cycle. The session provides a safe and supportive environment for participants to explore their experiences, challenge negative patterns, and empower themselves to make healthier choices on their path to recovery.
